SAMS stands for Students Academic Management System. It has two components
e-Admission & e-Administration. SAMS presently supports online admission
for Higher Secondary Education, Post-Graduations, ITI, Diploma, PDIS,
Teacher Education, Physical Education and correspondence institutions.
e-Admission is nothing but online admission carried out for various courses
(as answered in the ques-1) of Odisha. The detailed process of admission is
explained in the Common Prospectus (CP) available separately for each courses.

under the caption "MIS Reports" click on "USM Strength, Admission & Vacancy" to
view the list of Trade Subjects.
The detailed information about the +2 e-Admission process of Utkal Sangeet Mahavidyalaya

The Common Application Form (CAF) can be accessed through the SAMS Portal i.e.
www.samsodisha.gov.in and an applicant is
required to read the the Common Prosepectus(CP) and User Manual which guides
him/her how to apply the CAF correctly.
Yes, you need to apply online through the CAF following the guidelines of the CP,
after submitting CAF on-line, take printout of the College Copy & Applicant Copy
and submit the College copy, during the time of admission along with photocopies
of the required documents as mentioned in the CP/Intimation letter.
At the time of CAF apply, The preferences about the Trade Subjects will be
displayed.
The applicant may apply for a maximum of two trade subject preferences and a minimum of
one trade subject preference at the time of CAF apply.
You should exercise your option in order of preference only i.e. the most preferred
trade subject preference has to be opted first.
No, the selection will be conducted on the basis of Common Aptitute Test (CAT)
results, merit & weightage of reservations SC, ST, SEBC & PWD. Student will be
selected for taking admission into +2 course in USM against one opted Trade
Subject only.
An aptitude test evaluates your ability/potential to succeed from a specific task,
in which you have no prior training or knowledge. It also reflects your mental
aptitude for trade subject preferences that you may opt for.

For General/SEBC applicants, the CAF Fees is Rs. 200/- and for the ST & SC applicants the CAF Fees
is Rs. 100/- only. The PWD and TG (Third Gender / Transgender) applicants are exempted from the
paying the CAF Fees.
You can modify the provided information by student's login through the SAMS student e-Space till
submission of the CAF online. But two-time edit facility of the CAF is available even after payment
of the CAF fee. You can modify your CAF twice after successful fee payment, but no further edits
will be allowed before Aptitude test.
The merit lists will be published in due course of the scheduled date & time,
which will available in the SAMS Portal i.e.
www.samsodisha.gov.in for information of public.
You will also be intimated exclusively through SMS, WhatsApp & Email
(if mobile number, WhatsApp number & email address is provided in the CAF) about
the selection status of an applicant. You can also download the intimation letter
from your student's login by paying the admission fees through online.
According to the the mentioned the requisite documents in the Initmation Letter,
an applicant can arrange all these for admission such as original certificates along
with its photocopies for verification, Colour passport size photograph, admission fees etc.,
then report to the Principal of the conconcerned college on the scheduled date & time.
The admission fees for General/SEBC category boys students Rs. 1,474/- and for Girls/SC/ST/PwD
student's id Rs. 1,378/- Selected applicants should pay the fee when reporting for admission
to Utkal Sangeet Mahvidyalaya, Bhubaneswar.
CAF and the mark secured in the aptitude test along with the reservation policy
(as applicable). The applicants, who have secured less than 40% marks in the
aptitude test, are not considered for e-admission merit list.
The reservation criteria for OBC, SEBC applicants will be notified later.
No postal intimation to the selected applicants will be sent. If you have
given your mobile number/email address, you would have definitely received
